 Healing Through the Four Elements

There is an awesome power to heal that occurs naturally in the four elements, Earth, Air, Light and Water.  Natural doctors since the beginning have relied on their latent power.  Spiritually, the Essenes counted them among the Angels.  Every healing art and science has at their roots these four elements with their ability to influence our health.

Earth

A major consideration in health and healing is the role the earth plays in life on our planet

and  in our human physiology.  We are essentially, Earth   The way that we take earth into

our bodies is mainly through the foods we eat.  Our choice of foods can both cause, and reverse, sickness.  Even with right food choices, right preparation is necessary. Here are five things to bear in mind when it comes to healing with Earth.  A diet like this will cleanse and detoxify and de-acidify the body while building healthy new cells.

ü     Eat the food that grows right from the earth, and eat it as fresh as possible.

ü     Eat a variety of green leafy vegetables as well as fruits and vegetables of all the colors of the rainbow.

ü     Little or no cooking preserves the essential nutrients and enzymes your body needs.

ü     Obtain your protein from nuts, seeds, beans and other legumes.

ü     Allow these choices to be 65% or more of your diet.

Air

Breathing is so commonplace to most of us that we fail to recognize when we are taking in

too little air.  Our red blood cells tend to clump together with too little oxygen thus making

them less effective in their ability to carry and release nutrients to every cell.  Shallow breathing tends to make the body system acidic, which is the cause of numerous chronic dis eases.  Give your body a breath of fresh air and give your health a boost with these four tips.

ü     The best way to breathe is to allow air to flow into your lungs, as your diaphragm is pulled downward.  This is called abdominal breathing, or diaphragmatic breathing and may take some practice if you are used to breathing from your chest and shoulders.

ü     Cultivate a habit of deep breathing

ü     First thing in the morning, deep breath and stretch for five minutes, even before getting out of bed!

ü     Aerobic Exercise is a wonderful way to increase your heart and lung capacity.

Light

One-half hour to one hour a day of sunlight is essential to good health and healing.  The UV

rays of sunlight react with the hormones in the body to produce correct vitamin and mineral

activity.  Additionally, sunlight balances the biorhythmic and hormonal cycles of the body.  Additionally, Vibrational Light Healing is a well researched modality for treating chronic pain, digestive disorders, circulation, auto immune disorders, and many other conditions, including mental and emotional ones.

 Water

Second to Oxygen, water is our most important nutrient.  Getting the right amount and

quality of water is essential.  Fresh fruits and vegetable contain 60-90% of very high-                   quality water.  Eat 5 – 10 servings a day.  Drink 6-8 cups a day of fresh, clean water.  Not just for consumption, water makes a wonderful compress on the skin to help reduce inflammation, ease tired, aching muscles or joints, and draw impurities out of the body.  Take a frequent cool water shower to stimulate circulation or a warm one to induce sleep.

REMEMBER:

bullet

Support your body by giving it the nourishing foods it needs from the vegetable kingdom.   Eat most of them as they exist naturally in nature, without processing or even cooking.  Raw food is your medicine and your key to good health.

bullet

Get proper rest and exercise.  Drink pure water.

bullet

Support your mind by monitoring your thoughts and feelings.  Left unnoticed your thoughts and feelings may be cluttering up the environment of your human energy field.  Lift up your thoughts.  See the beauty in your surroundings.  Affirm the life in your body and the Creator who supplies it.

bullet

Support your spirit with Prayer and Meditation.  Establish a connection with Spirit Divine.  Give generously of yourself.  Give smiles and encouraging words often.  Give of your time, talent and treasure.  Read sacred, wisdom literature.

Our bodies are marvelous creations!  We are marvelous beings, Body Mind Spirit.

Good Health to you!

Rev. Carol

Health, by definition, is: "a sense of well-being."  This feeling of well-being is achieved when our bodies feel strong and energetic, we have harmonious relations, we feel purposeful and generally blessed, and we know that we have all that we need to accomplish that which we choose.  Collectively, these positive feelings may be considered "Prosperity."  Prosperity means that we easily attract to ourselves that which we need, and that which bring us joy and fulfillment.   One of the finest tools for training ourselves to be prosperous that I have come across is a book called, "The Science of getting Rich" by Wallace D Wattles.  It is a book of explanation and affirmation to teach you to consciously be the co-creative force in your life.  The ideas in it are transformative, and the e-book is FREE!  Check it out!
